​Jude Gaspard, Piano/Organ

Jude Gaspard is director of bands at North Vermilion High School, a position he has held since January, 2004. He directs the marching, concert, and jazz bands and also assists with the middle school bands. During his time at NVHS, the band has doubled in size. Mr. Gaspard’s bands receive consistent superior ratings and high marks in all three venues of performance at the district and state levels. He serves as a guest clinician and adjudicator throughout the state. Mr. Gaspard earned a bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and completed a master’s degree in educational leadership from the American College of Education. He is an active church musician, serving as music director and organist at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Milton, Louisiana. Mr. Gaspard is currently president of the Southwest Louisiana Band Directors’ Association and is also a member of the Louisiana Music Educators’ Association, National Association for Music Education, and Phi Beta Mu. Mr. Gaspard received the Phi Beta Mu Bandmaster of the Year Award for the state of Louisiana in 2016. He and his wife, Angela, have a three year old daughter, Colleen, and a one year old son, Adam.
