Joel Martinez, ACOUSTIC Violin & VIOLIN WITH BACKING TRACKS
Born in Honduras, Mr. Martinez began violin lessons at the age of 9. Joel is a passionate violinist who enjoys exploring diverse music styles. Joel came to the United States from Honduras in 2005 after receiving a full-tuition scholarship to attend Louisiana State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance, a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Master in Business Administration. As a violinist at LSU, he studied under the instruction of Kevork Mardirossian, Borislava Iltcheva, and Espen Lilleslatten. In addition, Mr. Martinez has performed in numerous professional orchestras in Honduras and in the United States including the Honduran National Philharmonic Orchestra, Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, Baton Rouge Symphony, Shreveport Symphony, Acadiana Symphony, Monroe Symphony, Louisiana Sinfonietta, South Arkansas Symphony, Rapides Symphony, Gulf Coast Symphony, Texarkana Symphony, El Dorado Symphony, Pensacola Symphony, Tallahassee Symphony, Meridian Symphony and others. Currently, Joel is part of the worship ministry at Istrouma Baptist church, where he is a member along with his wife Erin Broussard Martinez, and two daughters Alina and Ada Martinez.
